A skin laxity treatment called Profhilo® aids in regenerating crepey, sagging, and wrinkled skin on the face, neck, hands, and décolletage. It hydrates the skin and activates the collagen and elastin-producing cells, which lifts and tightens the skin and enhances skin quality for a more youthful appearance.

Profhilo® uses hyaluronic acid in a unique, additive-free formulation. Due to its viscosity, it can distribute evenly through the tissues and underlying support systems of the skin, providing hydration, firmness, lifting, and improved skin quality to give the skin a more youthful appearance. Profhilo® treatments can produce results that last up to 6 to 9 months, although individual patient outcomes may differ and depend on their age and skin type.

What is the course of treatment?

To assure safety and maximize the lifting action of the substance, the treatment entails inserting the product under the skin using a small needle at certain points. These points are spread throughout 5 points on each side of the face and 10 points on the entire neck.

As a result, you must have two treatments on your face or neck separated by one month, or three treatments spaced by the same amount of time on your hands and décolletage. You can add more treatments if you want to keep going after a period of 6 to 9 months or when you start to notice the effects of the treatment fading. The Profhilo® procedure can be used alone as a treatment or in conjunction with other aesthetic procedures.

Does Profhilo® go hand in hand with other cosmetic treatments?

  • Botulinum toxin (Botox)must be avoided for two weeks beforehand.
  • Microdermabrasion – there should be no microdermabrasion for 1-2 weeks before or after treatment.
  • Chemical peel – there should be no chemical peel for 1-2 weeks before or after treatment.
  • IPL – there should be no IPL for 1-2 weeks before or after treatment.
  • Fractional laser – should be avoided four weeks before and after receiving Profhilo®.

Who is not supposed to use Profhilo®?

If you have one of the following conditions, you should not undergo Profhilo® treatment:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Infected face skin.
  • Sinusitis or a common cold.
  • Hyaluronan allergies.
  • Keloid scarring.
  • Scheduled dental work within the next month.

Are there any side effects to Profhilo® treatment?

The most frequent adverse effects, which usually go away in a few hours, include swelling, redness, or hard lumps. Other things like allergies are unlikely because Profhilo® doesn’t include any synthetic ingredients.

Vascular occlusion is exceedingly rare to happen because of the product’s placement sites, an enzyme is used to dissolve the Profhilo to treat this.
